After working for a global publishing company in London for 10 years I decided it was time for a change from the daily commute and the bustle of the city. So I took the plunge, left my job and set up Laura Gardner Design Studio with the aim of creating bespoke, beautiful and functional design.

For as long as I can remember I've been creating things, drawings, paintings, random things out of any old bits of rubbish I could find round the house. (We went through a lot of toilet roll tubes when I was little, great for crafts!)

I have now refined my skills somewhat (thankfully), and after graduating university with a graphic design degree I went on to work full time at a publishers, where I continued to work for 10 years. I still love creating things, I even made my own bouquet out of fabric flowers for my wedding, but I have left the toilet roll tubes in the past.

I come from a print based background, and have a wealth of experience in designing, from book covers to entire books, logo design to complete rebranding including stationery. I also have experience in designing larger scale pieces for exhibition stands. I have done a lot of work with book covers involving special finishes such as foils and lenticulars.
